Description

This poster documents a July 26, 2005 concert at The Catalyst featuring Circle Jerks, one of the most influential bands to emerge from the first wave of Los Angeles hardcore punk, led by longtime frontman Duane Peters. By this point, Circle Jerks were firmly established as legacy figures, continuing to tour and perform material that helped define early American hardcore. They are joined here by Time Again and Gunfight, representing a newer generation of West Coast punk influenced by the same Southern California scene Circle Jerks helped build. Illustrated by Chris Shaw, the poster reflects the mid-2000s revival of classic punk touring circuits, where veteran acts and younger bands regularly shared bills at venues like The Catalyst, reinforcing the continuity of the scene across decades.
