Description

This poster documents a January 23, 2010 performance by Cold War Kids at the Fillmore in San Francisco, with Alec Ounsworth appearing as support. At the time, Cold War Kids were touring behind Loyalty to Loyalty, continuing to refine the blues-inflected, rhythm-driven sound that had brought them widespread attention following Robbers & Cowards. Alec Ounsworth, best known as the frontman for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, represents a parallel strand of 2000s indie rock rooted in literate songwriting and DIY sensibilities. Designed by Brad Kayal, the poster reflects the Fillmore’s long-running tradition of commissioning artist-designed works to document touring acts passing through the venue.
