Description
This concert poster was illustrated by Alan Forbes, a key figure in West Coast poster art whose work is closely tied to underground punk, garage, and metal scenes from the 1990s onward. The show brought together Girl Trouble, long regarded as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most enduring and influential garage-punk acts, with The Famous Monsters and Wire Taps, reflecting the tight-knit, cross-band culture of the Seattle and Tacoma underground. Taking place at the Breakroom, a venue known for hosting local and touring alternative acts during a formative era, the concert exemplifies the grassroots club circuit that sustained these bands. Forbes’ involvement situates the piece within his broader body of work documenting live music culture—not as polished commercial promotion, but as an extension of the scenes he was actively embedded in, where posters functioned as both announcements and artifacts of a specific moment in regional music history.
