Description
This poster documents a September 29, 2013 performance by Jake Bugg at The Fillmore, during a period when Bugg was emerging as one of the most visible young voices in contemporary British guitar music. Having gained rapid attention with his self-titled debut album, which blended folk, indie rock, and classic British songwriting influences, Bugg’s early U.S. tours marked his transition from breakout UK artist to an international touring act. The Fillmore appearance reflects the venue’s continued role in introducing rising global talent to American audiences. Designed collaboratively by Jessica Deahl and Arlene Owseichik, the poster forms part of the Fillmore’s long-running series of artist-commissioned works documenting live performances. Issued as an offset lithograph and printed by Great Impressions in South San Francisco, the piece serves as a visual record of Jake Bugg’s early career moment, capturing the point at which his stripped-down, songwriting-driven approach resonated with a broader indie and alternative audience.
